Is Sweep safe to use on my Mac?
Yes. Sweep is sandboxed (Apple's strictest tier) and everything it removes goes to your Trash by default — nothing is permanently deleted unless you choose to empty it. Sweep also explains every recommendation in plain English, so you're never guessing.
Will Sweep slow my Mac down?
No. Sweep only runs when you open it. There's no background daemon, no startup hook, no menu-bar agent. The whole point is to make your Mac faster — not add another thing slowing it down.

No. Sweep doesn't ask you to sign up. Your file names, photos, app inventory and other personal data never leave your Mac. We collect anonymous, aggregate usage stats so we know which features matter — that's it.
